Dinghy prototype 2: Better: Woven bamboo

Imagine the bamboo pieces in the foreground–bow–come to a point in the center and in the back they take a sharp curve into the ground. You end up with a canoe-like thing. While this could not hold my weight, it did fairly well for less than 15 thin pieces of bamboo woven together. For the final project I want the to arch maybe 12″ at the highest point, then curve down to a straight-edged bow. It should be around 2 feet by 4 feet. The bamboo bends with almost no trouble; only a few pieces broke and one of those because of an existing hole, a few others due to rot. I meant to use this bamboo for jewelry but its condition left too much to be desired.
