My friends, my friends. A while ago I read about corn presenting problems for tractor tires on Gene Logsdon’s blog. Companies (or, rather, one company) created this corn with very hard stalks to stand up against wind, probably some pests. It also wears out tires. This will be great for the economy, though, am I right? More tires bought. Fewer cobs of corn and stalks will fall prey to nature, lowering the cost, providing cheap cattle food and delicious, relatively cheap corn syrup that graces most of our food products whether they need it or not. Oh, goodie.
