I wonder if my body builds resistance to anti-depressants after awhile. A couple days ago I couldn’t climb up the stairs so I just laid there till I recuperated enough to move to a chair. The psychiatrist might as well max out this Viibryd because I have nothing to lose at this point.

    I never thought about that possibility, but the human body builds a tolerance to other things, why wouldn’t it build a tolerance to anti-depressants as well? I hope things begin improving for you soon. *hugs*

    I think it’s just homeostasis. But there are more subtle long-term things neurotransmitter-targetting drugs do that I think (hope?) are helpful too.
